This bill provides a rebuttable statutory presumption that heart disease-related disabilities or deaths for certain fire alarm dispatchers were incurred in the line of duty. Affected employees include fire alarm dispatchers, supervising fire alarm dispatcher level one, and supervising fire alarm dispatcher level two in cities with a population of one million or more. The bill offers a performance of duty disability benefit equal to 75% of the member's Final Average Salary.
