The bill authorizes Congregation Khal Mevakshei Hashem, Inc. to receive retroactive real property tax exempt status for the 2024 assessment roll and all of the 2023-2024 school taxes. The assessor of Nassau County can accept an application for exemption if satisfied that the organization would otherwise be entitled to such exemption. If granted, the organization may be refunded any taxes paid and any remaining unpaid taxes, fines, penalties, interest, or tax liens may be canceled. This act takes effect immediately.
