Authorizes Nassau County assessor to accept tax exemption application from Gurdwara Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, Inc. for 2023 taxes.

This bill authorizes the Nassau County assessor to accept an application for a real property tax exemption from Gurdwara Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, Inc. for all of the 2023 general taxes. If the application is accepted and approved by the Nassau County legislature, the assessor may correct the tax roll. If the exemption is granted and the organization has already paid taxes, the governing body or tax department may refund those taxes and cancel any remaining unpaid taxes, fines, penalties, liens, or interest. The act takes effect immediately.
