This bill authorizes Kevin Donohue, who has been continuously employed by the town of Goshen as a part-time police officer, to take the competitive civil service examination for a full-time police officer position. If he passes the exam, he will be eligible for placement on the eligible list for appointment as a full-time police officer with the Goshen police department. He will also be subject to the merit and fitness provisions of the civil service law applicable to full-time police officers.
