This bill amends the civil service law to allow public employees to use accrued sick time, compensation time, or vacation time during required waiting periods under the workers' compensation law. It applies to employees of the state, county, community college, public authority, public benefit corporation, board of cooperative educational services, vocational education and extension board, school district, municipality, or any employee of a participating employer in the New York state and local employees' retirement system or the New York state teachers' retirement system.
