This bill amends the vehicle and traffic law and the civil practice law to limit the damages recoverable by plaintiffs who were uninsured motorists, intoxicated drivers, or convicted of a felony during the accident. The damages are limited to those derived from property damage, medical expenses, and lost wages. The bill does not apply to actions for injury caused by police misconduct.
