This bill amends the public health law to prohibit the sale of kratom to individuals under the age of twenty-one. It also prohibits the sale or dissemination of information recorded during transaction scans. A civil penalty of up to five hundred dollars is imposed for the sale or provision of kratom to any person under the age of twenty-one. The bill repeals certain provisions relating to the sale of kratom and a study on kratom. It also amends the effectiveness of a chapter of the laws of 2025 relating to the prohibition of the sale of kratom to individuals under the age of twenty-one.
