New York S08748 amends the state finance law to allow the donation of personal property of the state to certain not-for-profit organizations that are up to date on their annual filings. The head of a state agency having custody or control of such property may donate it to a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Records of each disposition must be retained by the state agency disposing of such property and are subject to audit.
