New York S08373 modifies the surrogate's court procedure act to change how trustees of charitable trusts calculate and receive their commissions. Trustees of trusts created for public, religious, charitable, scientific, literary, educational, or fraternal uses will receive commissions based on the income of the trust, with a maximum of 80% of the previously allowed rates. Trustees are prohibited from receiving commissions from the principal of the trust.
