Expands the New York opportunity promise scholarship to include associate's degrees in high-demand fields.

The bill expands the New York opportunity promise scholarship to include all State University of New York (SUNY) and City University of New York (CUNY) approved programs awarding certain associate's degrees. The high-demand fields include advanced manufacturing, technology, cybersecurity, engineering, artificial intelligence, nursing, green and renewable energy, and teaching in shortage areas. The eligibility of such approved programs will continue for the semester in which the applicant makes their initial application.
