This bill authorizes the village of Trumansburg to offer an optional twenty-year retirement plan to Mackenzie M. Covert, a police officer who was appointed with the Trumansburg Police Department. The village can elect to assume the additional cost of this plan by filing a resolution with the state comptroller within one year of the bill's effective date. Mackenzie M. Covert will be entitled to full rights and benefits under the twenty-year retirement plan if she elects to participate. The village will bear all past service costs associated with this plan.
