Allows retired police officers to work part-time without suspension of retirement benefits if certain conditions are met.

This bill amends the Retirement and Social Security Law to exempt certain retired police officers from earnings limitations when reemployed part-time by municipalities with a population under 7,500. Specifically, it allows officers who retired with at least 20 years of service to work up to 520 hours in any six-month period without suspension or reduction of their retirement allowance. The village or town employing such officers must report their hours and salary monthly and contribute a percentage of any excess earnings to the New York State and Local Police and Fire Retirement System.
