Amends vehicle and traffic law to revise adjudication of liability for school bus stop-arm camera violations.
This bill amends the vehicle and traffic law to change how liability for school bus stop-arm camera violations is adjudicated. Instead of being handled by a traffic violations bureau, adjudication will now be conducted by the court having jurisdiction over traffic infractions where the violation occurred. If a city has established an administrative tribunal to hear complaints of traffic infractions, such adjudication may be authorized by local law.
