New York S07949 amends the social services law to allow child day care providers more time to make necessary changes or accommodations to their facilities to meet licensing requirements. If the Office of Children and Family Services determines that a facility requires changes after an inspection, the original 90-day period is extended to allow for corrections without restarting the licensing process. The Office of Children and Family Services is also granted authority to provide additional extensions if needed. This act takes effect immediately.
