This bill allows the village of Trumansburg to offer an optional twenty-year retirement plan to Daniel H. Austic, a police officer who was appointed on December 16, 2010. The village can elect to assume the additional cost of this service by filing a request with the state comptroller within one year of the bill's effective date. The village will bear all past service costs associated with this change. The bill will result in an immediate past service cost of approximately $3,090 and an increase of about $550 in annual contributions for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026.
