Waives the residency requirement for the office of Putnam county attorney.
This bill amends the public officers law to waive the residency requirement for the office of Putnam county attorney. It allows a person regularly admitted to practice as an attorney or counselor in the courts of record of this state to hold the office of Putnam county attorney, provided they reside in a county adjoining Putnam county within the state of New York. The act takes effect immediately.
