Extends the authority of the New York Department of Environmental Conservation to manage weakfish until 12/31/2028.

New York State Senate Bill S07772 extends the authority of the Department of Environmental Conservation to manage weakfish until December 31, 2028. This includes setting regulations for size limits, catch and possession limits, open and closed seasons, and other management measures. The regulations must be consistent with fishery management plans from the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission and the Federal Fishery Conservation and Management Act.
