Extends the authority of the New York Department of Environmental Conservation to manage hard clams, soft clams, and razor clams until December 31.

This bill extends the authority of the New York Department of Environmental Conservation to adopt regulations for the management of hard clams, soft clams, and razor clams until December 31, 2028. These regulations can include size limits, catch and possession limits, open and closed seasons, closed areas, restrictions on the manner of taking and landing, permit requirements, recordkeeping, and gear restrictions. The regulations must be no less restrictive than existing requirements. The bill amends the environmental conservation law and takes effect immediately.
