This bill amends the tax law to extend Orange County's authority to impose an additional rate of sales and compensating use taxes. The additional tax rate is set at three-quarters of one percent, on top of the existing three percent rate, for the period from June 1, 2024, to November 30, 2027. The net collections from these additional taxes will be paid to Orange County and used solely for county purposes, exempt from any revenue distribution agreements. The bill takes effect immediately.
