This bill amends the multiple dwelling law to prohibit owners or agents from separately charging tenants or occupants for electricity, electric service, natural gas, or other fuel used to heat living quarters. It sets minimum temperature requirements for heating in multiple dwellings and garden-type maisonette dwellings. The bill also updates the multiple residence law to specify heating requirements for new dwellings.
