Allows for the issuance of information subpoenas on behalf of small claims judgment creditors to be effective anywhere in the state.

This bill amends the New York City Civil Court Act, the Uniform City Court Act, the Uniform District Court Act, and the Uniform Justice Court Act. It allows small claims clerks to issue information subpoenas, at nominal cost, for judgment creditors when a judgment remains unsatisfied. The subpoenas can be served anywhere in the state upon request, and the courts have the same power as the supreme court to punish contempt of court related to these subpoenas.
