New York S07412 amends the town law and the public officers law to allow the town justice of Montour, Schuyler County, to not be a resident of that town. This change exempts the town justice of Montour from the requirement to be an elector of the town. However, town justices in other towns must still be residents of their respective towns unless otherwise provided by law. This act takes effect immediately.
