New York city voters can now sign petitions for multiple candidates for the same municipal office or party position.

This bill amends the election law to allow New York city voters to sign designating petitions for multiple candidates for the same New York City municipal public office or party position. Previously, voters could only designate as many candidates as there were positions to be filled. Now, there is no limit on the number of candidates a voter can designate, provided they bear the same date. If the signatures bear different dates, they will be counted in the order of their priority of date, up to the number of positions available.
