This bill amends the real property tax law to increase the exemption for combat veterans from 10% to 35% of the assessed value of their residential real property. The exemption cannot exceed $40,000 or the product of $40,000 and the latest state equalization rate. This change applies to assessment rolls prepared on or after January 1, 2026.
