The bill enacts the Infant Vision Information, Education and Wellness Act, establishing a program to screen newborns and infants for vision abnormalities. It creates a newborn vision screening advisory committee to advise on program regulation, diagnostic testing, and other issues. The Department of Health will implement a reporting and referral system linking vision screening with early intervention services.
