New York S07200 amends the vehicle and traffic law to introduce new registration fees for vintage snowmobiles. Owners of snowmobiles manufactured more than thirty years prior to the current calendar year must pay an additional fee of $55 for each snowmobile. This fee is for the snowmobile trail development and maintenance fund. If the owner is a member of a New York state snowmobile club, the fee reduces to $20. The bill also allows individuals unable to secure snowmobile club membership to contact the New York state snowmobile association for assistance.
