It also amends the vehicle and traffic law to include fire patrol vehicles as emergency vehicles. These fire patrols can assist fire departments and other public agencies, but only within Richmond county and with permission from the officer in charge at the scene. The provisions of this bill will expire and be repealed five years after it takes effect.
