Establishes the John J. Marchi government studies scholarship program for CUNY students in government or government-related studies.
The John J. Marchi government studies scholarship program provides financial aid to City University of New York (CUNY) students enrolled in government or government-related studies. Awards are made competitively and are equal to the recipient's tuition, fees, and non-tuition costs of attendance, up to a maximum of $20,000 per year. To qualify, students must be state residents, enrolled in a relevant degree program, and attend a CUNY school. If a student fails to complete their degree, the scholarship converts to a student loan with interest.
