The bill establishes a rental assistance payment standard pilot program. It allows the owner of a housing accommodation to charge and collect rent equal to the maximum amount prescribed by the rental assistance program, subject to rent reasonableness calculations. This applies to housing accommodations in buildings constructed before 1974, registered as vacant, and rented to tenants with a rental assistance housing voucher. The program will expire on June 15, 2027, unless extended.
