Provides a defense for MTA employees operating authorized vehicles in bus lanes while performing duties.

This bill amends the vehicle and traffic law to provide a defense for any prosecution of a bus lane restriction violation when an employee of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority is operating an authorized employer vehicle in the bus lane while performing authorized duties and conducting lawful business or providing service to an official MTA vehicle or personnel. The defense applies when the employee is in the bus lane at the time of the violation.
