Clarifies the definition of floor area and what is excluded in the measurement of floor area.
The bill amends the definition of floor area in the multiple dwelling law. It specifies how open areas under buildings should be counted based on their height. Areas with a floor to structural ceiling height of more than twelve feet and up to twenty-four feet are counted twice, those more than twenty-four feet and up to thirty-six feet are counted three times, and those more than thirty-six feet and up to forty-eight feet are counted four times. Areas over forty-eight feet are counted five times.
