The bill amends the general municipal law to limit the number of hours certain public employees can work in a day to seventeen, except as provided in a collective bargaining agreement. It applies to all employees of municipal corporations or other civil divisions or political subdivisions of the state. The act will take effect on the thirtieth day after it becomes law.
