Withholds the governor's salary until the legislative passage of the budget occurs.
This bill amends the executive law to withhold the governor's salary if the budget has not passed prior to the first day of the fiscal year. The governor's bi-weekly salary installment payments will be withheld and not paid until the budget is passed, at which point payments will resume and any accrued, withheld, and unpaid installments will be promptly paid.
