This bill provides pension benefits to Christine Floyd, the widow of deceased probationary firefighter Derek Floyd. It deems Derek Floyd as having vested in the New York City Fire Pension Fund and makes Christine Floyd eligible for a Tier 3 Ordinary Death Benefit of three times his final year's earnings, rounded up to the nearest $1,000. The New York City Fire Department will cover all costs of implementing this act, which takes effect immediately.
