The bill authorizes the Thiells-Roseville Fire District to file an application for exemption from school taxes and real property taxes. The assessor of the town of Haverstraw, county of Rockland, can accept the application for the parcels owned by the fire district. If the application is accepted and the exemption is granted, the assessor may refund any taxes paid and cancel any remaining tax liens. This act takes effect immediately.
