The bill establishes a weekend child day care assistance program for New York army and air national guard members. The program provides free hourly child day care at participating child care providers during scheduled weekend drill periods, up to twelve hours. Both the New York national guard member and the child care provider must review approvals for accuracy and report any inaccuracies. Guard members must be in good standing with their unit and prove no other adult in their household can care for their child during the drill weekend.
