New York S06378 amends the labor law to redefine "covered project" for prevailing wage requirements on construction projects funded by public money. A "covered project" is now construction work done under contract paid for in whole or in part out of public funds, where the amount of public funds is at least 20% of total construction costs and those costs exceed $5 million. Excluded from this definition are certain construction work on one or two family dwellings, not-for-profit projects, and other specified activities.
