It also amends the civil rights law to provide a private right of action for the unlawful dissemination or publication of deep fakes. A deep fake is defined as a digitized image that incorporates a person's face or identifiable body part onto an image depicting a pornographic or lewd sex act or graphic violence, published without consent. The bill allows for injunctive relief, punitive damages, compensatory damages, and reasonable court costs and attorney's fees.
