Allows victims of domestic violence to remove violent felony offenders from the deed of co-owned real property.
This bill amends the executive law to add a new section allowing a victim of domestic violence to apply to the county clerk to remove the name of the violent felony offender from the deed of co-owned real property. The application must be made in a manner determined by the county clerk. This act takes effect immediately.
