Enacts the "Nurse of Tomorrow Act" to provide grants for nurse recruitment, education, and retention.

The Nurse of Tomorrow Act provides grants from the state commissioner of education to public and not-for-profit hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and schools for nurse recruitment, education, and retention. Grants can be used for salary bonuses for nurses, tuition reimbursement for nurses pursuing higher degrees, and stipends for summer internships for student nurses. The commissioner shall give preference to applicants in financial need and those that demonstrate the ability to recruit and create a multicultural student body.
