Establishes a supplemental burial allowance for certain first responders.
This bill amends the veterans' services law to establish a supplemental burial allowance for certain first responders. The allowance is for parents or individuals who stood in the relationship of a parent for a year or more, and who bore the expenses of the funeral of a decedent who died in combat, from a wound incurred in combat, or from a certified World Trade Center medical condition. The bill takes effect immediately.
