New York S05733 amends the veterans' services law by changing the funding formula for the maintenance and operation of county and city veterans' service agencies. The state commissioner, with approval from the veterans' services commission, will allot and pay funds to these agencies. For counties and cities with populations up to 100,000, the allotment is $25,000. For larger counties and cities, the allotment is $25,000 plus $5,000 for each 100,000 residents over 100,000. This act takes effect immediately.
