New York S04985 amends the business corporation law and the limited liability company law to require certain companies to report data on the gender, race, and ethnicity of their employees. Specifically, corporations and limited liability companies that file an EEO-1 report with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission must also submit a copy to the Secretary of State. The Secretary of State will then publish this data on their official website within ninety days of receipt. This act will take effect two years after it becomes law.
