This bill amends the civil service law to waive the state application fee for all civil service examinations for all veterans. The waiver applies to veterans who have served in the armed forces of the United States, reserves, or in the national guard or naval militia and have been honorably discharged or released under honorable conditions. The waiver also applies to discharged LGBT veterans who have received a discharge other than bad conduct or dishonorable. The state civil service department must waive the application fee for all veterans.
