New York S04818 amends the administrative code to set standards for curb repairs and establish timelines for completion.
New York S04818 amends Section 19-111 of the administrative code of the city of New York to specify that all curbs for sidewalk support must meet department specifications. It assigns the responsibility of curb and curb cut repairs to the city department. Homeowners of one, two, or three-family homes can request repairs through NYC 311, and the city must complete them within 90 days. If the city fails to do so, homeowners can hire a licensed contractor for the repairs and receive a property tax credit for the reasonable cost. The act takes effect immediately.
