Allows reusable beverage containers in sports venues, with some restrictions.
This bill amends the general business law to allow individuals to bring reusable beverage containers into sports venues for professional or collegiate sporting competitions. These containers must be made primarily of aluminum or stainless steel and designed for multiple reuses. However, sports venues may require these containers to be empty upon entry, not contain a cap, and restrict containers holding more than 24 fluid ounces. Violators face civil penalties up to $500 for the first offense and $750 for subsequent offenses.
