New York City Housing Authority must follow city's Uniform Land Use Review Procedure for land or building dispositions.
The bill, known as the NYCHA Infill Public Review Act, mandates that any disposition of land or buildings by the New York City Housing Authority must comply with the city's Uniform Land Use Review Procedure. This requirement applies in addition to the provisions of section 18 of the U.S. Housing Act of 1937. The act does not apply to the conversion of property under the ownership, management, or control of the New York City Housing Authority to section eight of the United States Housing Act of 1937. The act takes effect immediately.
