If less than eight percent of registered voters cast ballots as a direct consequence of a disaster, school boards can set an additional day for voting. This additional day must be held between seven and fourteen days after the original meeting and election, unless the commissioner authorizes a later date. The commissioner must notify the board of education and county board of elections of the additional voting date.
