This bill amends the real property tax law to provide a partial tax exemption for real property owned by special police officers. The exemption applies to property in any county, excluding those wholly contained in a city with a population of one million or more. The exemption is ten percent of the assessed value for city, village, town, part town, special district, school district, fire district, or county purposes. The exemption requires certification by the authority having jurisdiction over the special police officer and enrollment for at least two years.
