This bill amends the education law to mandate that zero-emission school buses and their major components must be manufactured and assembled within the United States. It also allows the commissioner to waive these requirements if it is determined that meeting them would not be in the public interest, would result in unreasonable costs, or if the necessary components and parts cannot be produced in the United States in sufficient and reasonably available quantities or of satisfactory quality.
